Andy Moor’s name is firmly cemented as one of the most highly respected in the electronic dance music industry, proven by a career studded with numerous awards and accolades including a Grammy nomination for his remix of Delerium’s Angelicus in 2008, the titles of ‘Best Dance Record’ at the International Dance Music Awards in and ‘Best Trance Producer’ and ‘Best Trance Track’, persistently high rankings on the DJ Mag Top 100 alongside a vast & loyal following.

Co-owner of AVA Recordings, Producer of chart topping hits, remixer to artists such as Britney Spears / Armin van Buuren / Tiesto / Paul Oakenfold etc, DJ to the largest festivals in the world – Andy Moor has had quite the 20+ year career – yet he’s “only just getting warmed up”.

A born musician, Andy Moor could play his first piano piece flawlessly at the age of 5 and continued to play six more instruments to the age of 12. He spun his first record at 13, signed his first label release at 19, by 21 was playing to crowds of thousands and at 25 owned his own record label.

The iconic Andy Moor sound is instantly recognizable within the scene, containing soundscapes with integrity, depth, floating above prominent clever bass lines with his productions often showcasing the vocal chops he pioneered. Yet his catalogue extends far beyond that of productions under his own name, where his contributions to various acts display his versatility as a producer.
His addition to the legendary UK trance act Tilt resulted in the critically acclaimed ‘Explorer’ album. He is one half of the iconic trance act ‘Whiteroom’ with Adam White, whose title track was commended by Armin Van Buuren and Above & Beyond as the best trance production of 2004 and in 2005 picked up ‘Best Production’ and ‘Best Trance Track’ at the Trance Awards. His infamous 2005 collaboration with Above & Beyond ‘Air For Life’ was one of the most highly supported tunes of the year. Named 2005’s ‘Tune Of The Year’ by listeners of Armin Van Buuren’s radio show A State Of Trance, it won ‘Best Underground Dance Track’ at the Miami Winter Music Conference, and won ‘Best Trance Track’ in 2006.

Andy is also one half of UK melodic progressive house act Leama & Moor, whose 2006 album ‘Common Ground’ showcased a variety of styles in addition to a stellar remixing career, adding their touch to a huge diversity of names from Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne to Orbital, Tiesto, Brian Eno and Paul Oakenfold. Their unique, genre bending sound made them one of the most in demand remix teams of the time.

In those early days Andy Moor fans dramatically increased in numbers, and so did his demand as a DJ. It wasn’t long before he was playing to tens of thousands of fans at some of the World’s best festivals including Tomorrowland, Dreamstate, Transmission, ASOT, Untold, EDC, Springwave, Global Gathering, SW4 & Ultra. Andy regularly plays at many iconic venues such as Ministry of Sound -London, Avalon -Hollywood, Zouk –Singapore and Home –Sydney.

Featuring high in the DJ mag top 100 over an 8 year period (the golden years of Trance?) Andy Moor has also put together a number of beautifully crafted mix compilations – ASOT500, In Search of Sunrise, Ministry of Sound Trance Nation, and to the delight of his fans his own ongoing Breaking the Silence series.

AVA Recordings was born in 2006, and alongside his own releases the label supported the early careers of artists such as MatZo, Tritonal, Ashley Wallbridge, TyDi, Ben Nicky and more. Andy’s own tracks on AVA frequently get millions of plays on Spotify, top the Beatport charts and become firm favourites within the scene.

For over 10 years Andy has been producing ‘Moor Music’ podcast for his fans – the radio show that promises only the best in trance and progressive, with ‘Less Talk, Moor Music’.

2020 will witness Andy progress his sound to new creative heights, whilst he continues to be the soundtrack to our weekend; whether that be in our headphones or on our stage.
